The moment Justin Vernon came onto stage, I automatically put my hand over my mouth in disbelief. The second Bon Iver struck up “Perth”, I felt the tears comin’ in. For over an hour, I sat there in utter disbelief that the phenomenon which I was experiencing was real life. Less than fifty feet in front of me was the stage holding the individuals that hold twenty four of my twenty five most played slots on my iTunes. For years, I’ve swooned over the beauty of their music-and I was finally experiencing it in real life. Ultimately, the whole night was unreal. I’m not quite sure I’ve ever been happier. Ending the concert less than a foot from the stage and managing to snag a set-list were aspects of the night that were just beyond words.
The whole night was beyond words.
Bon Iver, thank you for the concert of a lifetime. I’ve never loved you all more.
